How to Set Up Outlook for  Windows for GMail 

Configure Outlook for use with G Suite (formerly Google Apps) Enable IMAP 

1. Log in to Gmail.

2. Click the gear in the top right.

3. Click Settings.

4. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

5. In the IMAP Access section, select Enable IMAP.

6. Click Save Changes.

7. Go to www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps. Select the option to Turn  on access for less secure apps.
